As Belgium’s largest body of water, the Eau d’Heure Lakes are a destination in their own right. From Le Havre des Lacs, everything is just a few minutes away: the water, the forest, the trails and a whole host of activities for all ages and tastes.

Here’s our selection to help you plan a holiday at your own pace — from an action-packed day to a moment of tranquillity.

On the water

Sailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking: Lake Plate Taille is perfect for all kinds of water sports. The more adventurous can try wingfoiling, water skiing or the water ski lift, whilst the water park is a hit with families in summer.

Fancy a thrill? Jet skis and towable tubes add a dose of adrenaline to the day.

On foot or by bike

Forty kilometres of signposted trails circle the lakes, whether on foot or by bike. Hire an electric mountain bike or a scooter and let yourself be carried away by the views, between the water and the forest.

For children, the treetop adventure course with its zip lines, the bike park and the exploration games turn the outing into an adventure.

To wind down

A guided tour of the dam, the amphibus or the little tourist train offer a different perspective on the area. And after all that exertion, nothing beats returning to the holiday cottage: an indoor swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi await you to prolong your relaxation.
