General Terms and Conditions
1. Purpose
These terms and conditions govern the letting of the L'Espérance holiday cottage within the Le Havre Des Lacs estate for short-term holiday stays.
2. Booking
For L'Espérance, which can be booked online with immediate payment: if the arrival date is more than 30 days away, a deposit of 30 per cent of the total amount is due on the day of booking and the balance (70 per cent) is debited 30 days before arrival. If the arrival date is 30 days or less away, the full cost of the stay is payable on the day of booking. The booking is firm and final once payment has been confirmed by our payment provider.
In the case of a direct booking via quotation or bank transfer, the booking becomes firm and final upon receipt of the deposit (30 per cent of the total amount) and following written confirmation from us. The balance is due 30 days before arrival.
3. Rates
Rates are provided at the time of the booking request, depending on the period, duration and number of guests. A security deposit is required before arrival and will be refunded following the exit inspection.
4. Cancellation
More than 30 days before arrival: full refund.
Between 30 and 14 days: the deposit is retained.
Less than 14 days: the full amount is retained.
For cancellations due to documented cases of force majeure, appropriate conditions may be applied on a case-by-case basis.
5. Arrival and departure
Check-in on the day of arrival between 5 pm and 7 pm. After 7 pm, self-check-in via secure digital access. If you are self-checking in, you will be asked to provide any comments regarding the check-in within one hour of your arrival. If we do not receive any feedback from the guests within one hour of arrival, the pre-occupancy inspection will be deemed to have been completed without any issues. Check-out by 10.00.
6. Occupancy
The maximum capacity of the holiday cottage must not be exceeded. Tenants are responsible for ensuring the exact number of people staying at the property.
7. Pets
Pets are not permitted in the holiday home, in order to ensure optimal hygiene and comfort for all our guests.
8. House rules
Le Havre Des Lacs is a place dedicated to peace and quiet, rejuvenation and relaxation. Parties, stag parties and hen parties are strictly prohibited, in order to preserve the tranquillity of the property and the neighbourhood. Failure to comply with this rule may result in the immediate termination of your stay, without refund.
9. Wellness facilities
Use of the swimming pool, jacuzzi, outdoor sauna and infrared seat is at the guests’ own risk. Children must be supervised. The house rules displayed on site apply.
10. Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute shall fall within the jurisdiction of the courts in the area where the estate is situated.
